The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) is a materials research organization in Germany. Our mission is to ensure safety in technology and chemistry. Your responsibilities includeYour responsibilities include
Scientific services in research within the framework of a BMFTR third-party funded project in the field
of high-temperature sodium–sulfur batteries with solid electrolytes. In this context, in particular:
- Experimental investigations on high-temperature sodium–sulfur batteries with a focus on safety and aging
- Establishment of test infrastructure for safety testing of high-temperature batteries
- Optimization of cycling programs, long-term measurements, and investigation of degradation mechanisms
- Publication of results in peer-reviewed journals
- Presentation of results at national and international conferences
- Preparation of reports
Your qualificationsYour qualifications
- Above-average completed academic university degree in materials science, engineering, or a comparable field
- Practical research experience in electrochemistry or batteries
- International research experience is an advantage
- Very good command of English; good knowledge of German is an advantage
- Good communication and information skills, goal-oriented and structured working style, initiative/commitment; ability to work
in a team and willingness to cooperate as well as willingness to learn
